IT Finance Business Partner

My client is a global financial services business based in the city offering an exceptional working environment, a strong brand name and the opportunity to work within a high calibre leadership team.  This role sits within IT finance, supporting stakeholders in London, US and Zurich from London.  Working as a member of Business Controlling IT, you will be the main point of contact for the Product Management teams in all financial issues. 

The key focus of this role will be to provide financial leadership to your IT clients to help them meet 2013 financial targets, and supporting the planning process for 2014. You will be responsible for ensuring that all new business cases are completed to standard, validated and have been approved by the respective areas where benefits will be realised. In addition to advising on all the financial aspects of the strategy of the business area, you will also support the month end variance reporting and monthly forecasting planning processes. This will involve analysing and presenting regular reports and contributing to presentations tabled at management meetings. You will also be involved in the drafting and validating of the business plans and in calculating the financial benefits of the various projects to support any prioritisation that may be needed. 

To be considered for this role you must be a qualified accountant with experience of providing financial support to major IT projects within a global business.  You will have a strong management accounting base but will be able to provide exceptional commercial support through insightful analysis and reporting and through robust business planning and business case preparation.  To be effective in this role you must have strong communication skills and the ability to understand the objectives that the business is looking to achieve and the issues they face,  challenging the stakeholders when required.
