IT Governance Analyst – Technology Services Group recruitment
Area Overview:
The Governance Function of the Technology Services Group seeks to effectively advance the mission and objectives of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York (Bank) by providing governance structure and oversight of the Bank's Information Technology (IT) by ensuring transparency, the effective alignment of business, technology and financial management, efficient resource management, and management of risks and regulatory compliance.
Job Description:
The IT Governance Analyst will help synchronize processes, risk and compliance requirements, and instill accountability, transparency, discipline and control across the IT Governance focus areas.
Skills
Required Skills:
- Generate IT Governance performance measurements and metrics.
- Working knowledge and experience in performing and documenting risk and compliance assessments.
- Establish, interpret, recommend and implement new or modified IT governance policies.
- The ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of constituencies is essential.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team, and in a team environment.
- Respond effectively to inquiries for information and process support while representing Governance Function.
- Must be self-directed and proactive; able to think beyond the immediate problem.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent attention to details, follow-through, and presentation skills.
- Excellent Communications Skills (both verbal and written).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Critical Skills:
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams to achieve tactical/strategic goals.
- Knowledge of IT industry standards and best practices as they relate to IT governance such as CoBiT, ITIL, CMMI, ISO 9001.
- Ability to provide guidance and direction to others, and explains what is required for success.
- Ability to articulate business value of IT Governance.
- Proficient in MS Office products.
Preferred Skills:
- Fundamental knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley Act, risk management standards, Project Management Standards (PMBOKÒ), COSO requirements, and IT Controls.
- Facilitates compliance and audits by documenting processes, controls and decision authority.
Education/Certifications:
- A University degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Business Management, and/or equivalent experience.
- Professional certification in CGEIT, CRISC, CISA and/or ITIL foundation is highly desired.
