IT Governance Manager recruitment

Responsible for implementing the company's (insurer) global IT Governance practices and processes including but not limited to Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), IT operational standards and policies, investment decision processes into the region. This position needs close collaboration with IT project managers, chief architects, security officers, chief technology officer and regional PMO officer. Also, regular liaising with the Global team on project governance is expected.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Statement of Operational Standards (SOS) Ownership

Responsible for taking the ownership of the SOS (also called SOP, Standard Operational Procedure) regarding IT Production and IT Security. The responsibilities will include providing guidance in interpreting the standards, gap anaysis and gap tracking as well as management reporting. Respond effectively to inquiries for information and process support while representing SOS of IT Production and IT Security. Conduct Standards enforcement review and compliance.

System Development Life-Cycle (SDLC) ownership

Responsible for taking the ownership of the SDLC standard by localizing and then implementing the standard, providing training and mentoring to project and process teams and key stakeholders. Respond effectively to inquiries for information and process support while representing SDLC. Conduct Standards enforcement review and compliance.

Coordinate training on IT development process

Responsible for analyzing the training needs of business entities regarding the SDLC standard, developing training programs for IT project managers and key developers for better understanding the standard and its artifacts as well as the global governance process.

Localization of IT Software Development process and SDLC artifacts

Responsible for developing a localized process following the global SDLC standard and localizing important development documents as defined in the standard.

Governance plan coordination

Responsible for providing guidance to project managers on governance plan, checking the integrity and properness of governance plan and replying to peer review comments from home office.

Facilitate sharing of best practices and lessons learned

To improve the performance of IT development reuse of deliveribles including project artifacts, processes, common modules and functions, sharing of successful experience and even lessons is indispensable. This IT governance manager should act as the facilitator for information sharing.

Design and monitor IT project maturity metrics

Responsible for generating IT Governance and SDLC Governance performance measurements and metrics.
