Power IT is a leading IT Managed Services Provider business located in the beautiful northern Michigan community of Petoskey. We are growing and are seeking an exceptional candidate to join our technical team.

Power IT provides a broad array of technology products and services to businesses, including a strong focus on the healthcare vertical with sales and support of EMR solutions. We deliver our managed services in a proactive fashion through industry leading Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) and Professional Services Automatation (PSA) tools and process. Key to this expert delivery of service is the Help Desk Technician.
Position:
Help Desk Technician
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage NOC RMM and PSA systems
- Technical troubleshooting at Tier 1 level
- Triage alerts and tickets for problem resolution and documentation
- Customer service via telephone and other electronic means
- Bench PC repair
- Systems project staging and burn-in
Qualifications - General:
- Excellent communication skills and phone voice
- Demonstrated multi-tasking and troubleshooting skills
- Prompt and reliable
- Enjoy a desk environment
- Self started, strong work ethic
Qualifications - Technical and Specific:
- 1 year of experience, preferably in a Help Desk or MSP environment
- Associates Degree completed or in progress, or;
- MCP or Network+ Cert, or ability to complete within first 90 days of employment
- Excellent understanding of PC operation and repair
- Broad but intermediate level understanding of Server, Networking, Security systems is desired
Excellent communication and organization skills are needed to thrive in this environment. This is not the job for an introvert! You must be a self-starter and enjoy working hard.
Employee could be expected to work varied hours, including some evening and weekend jobs. Position may occasionally involve lifting of heavy objects or cabling.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary/wage commensurate with experience, $30-50k/yr.
