Description:
We're currently looking for an IT HelpDesk Administrator / Datacenter Technician with a solid background in desktop/laptop management, helpdesk support, and who is also experienced with administration of Linux servers, network gear, and storage arrays. The ideal candidate possesses a blend of tactical hands-on capability, responsive customer attitude, experience with Windows, Linux, and Mac environments, and exceptional multi-tasking capabilities. This candidate thrives in a small and high performance team environment where all team members do what it takes to help our customers be successful.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience providing IT services in a fast growing company
- 3+ years experience administering Linux servers and networks in a customer-facing production datacenter
- Proficient with various open source technologies like NFS, Apache, Samba and Tomcat.
- Strong shell scripting knowledge
- Firm understanding of basic network protocols
- Demonstrated experience supporting Windows, Unix/Linux, and Mac desktop environments
- Experience managing Active Directory and Exchange
- Customer-oriented and security-minded working philosophy; Good organizational and prioritization skills
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with customers, teammates, and other internal colleagues
- Ability to operate in an agile, entrepreneurial start-up environment with a flexible schedule as after-hours work will be required periodically
