IT Infrastructure Engineer required by a successful company located in Alton, Hampshire to lead a team responsible for supporting and maintaining their IT infrastructure.
This is a varied role providing support to external and internal users with varied technical requirements from desktop users through to Software Development and Testing Labs.
The role itself will entail:
Day-to-day leadership of the team
Network and data security
2nd/3rd level support
IT projects related to infrastructure improvement and upgrades
Improvements to internal processes and tools (e.g. licensing and asset management)
The successful candidate is likely to be Microsoft or Cisco certified.
Experience of the following is necessary for the role:
- Microsoft Server products (OS, Exchange, SQL etc)
- Networking, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, IPSEC VPN
- Managed switches and firewalls, layer 3 switching, VLANs
- VMWare vSphere products and virtualisation
- VOIP telephones
