Summary:

Our Web-based IT Instructional Designer will create and develop web-based instructional products for both internal and external end-users of our Information Technology software applications. We are looking for a self-directed individual who utilizes effective needs analysis, project management, and course development and evaluation skills. In addition, he/she will deliver instructor-led classes and work with software development teams and subject matter experts (SMEs) to maintain the integrity of all web-based instructional resources.

Responsibilities and Standards:

1. Design, develop, implement and maintain state of the art web-based instructional products.
2. Collaborates and consults with program managers, software developers, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to create prototypes of new or proposed instructional strategies and features within and across IT software applications.
3. Determine courseware deficiencies related to web-based instructional design and integrity; coordinate with program managers, software developers and subject matter experts (SMEs) to correct deficiencies.
4. Administer IT Learning Services features of the corporate Learning Management System (LMS).
5. Deliver instructor-led training to end-users of Information Technology software applications.
6. Provide support to end-users during the implementation of new features of IT software applications.
7. Assist the Manager of IT Learning Services in the development, implementation, and ongoing review of policies, standards, documentation and processes to ensure web-based instructional products meet minimum standards of excellence and consistency.

o Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Instructional Technology, Adult Education or related discipline. Master' degree preferred.

o Knowledge or familiarity with Information Mapping, visual display and design principles.

o Three to five years experience as an instructional designer in a corporate setting, including experience in one or more of the following areas: video, interactive video, CBT, CD-ROM, multimedia, on-line documentation, help systems, web-based information or instruction.

o Experience with multimedia authoring or development tools (e.g., Adobe Captivate, Articulate, Snag-It, etc.)
