JOB TITLE: Intern – IT Management Support and Financial Analyst, UK

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• To assist technical teams with entry level tasks across EMEA support teams
• Following established IT practices to support IT technical change and support activity
• Documenting and implementing basic changes and producing technical change plans
• Managing and progressing user requests and enhancements under supervision , whilst fully documenting progress within JIRA record system
• Trouble-shooting technical issues alongside experienced staff
• Escalating incidents to and issues to line management as per the Newedge escalation process
• To focus senior workload off time consuming, but key, responsibilities allowing them to focus on value added IT strategic activities
• Management support and administration of the ongoing improvements to the IT Support framework including:
o Assisting with the reduction in none actioned system alerts
o Support and facilitation of OLA implementation process between Business and IT
o Cost reduction target support and administration
o Follow the Sun framework enhancements
o 12 Basics (IT Discipline) program support

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

Skills and Experience:

• IT Degree or other analytical degree (2:1 or above)
• Excellent Communication and telephone skills
• Excellent Troubleshooting skills
• Ability to own issuesprojects until completion
• Good knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems with emphasis on Windows XP and / or Unix operating system
• Ability to work under pressure and in a time sensitive area
• Experience with using and troubleshooting Lotus Notes within a network environment (permissions, calendar sharing, delegation)
• Experience with using and troubleshooting Microsoft Office with emphasis on MS Word, MS Excel and MS Access.
