IT Internal Auditor

Role Overview

The Internal Audit Department provides an independent, objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve the Bank's operations. It assists the Bank to accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to the evaluation and improvement of the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes.

The Internal Audit function has to be highly visible, unquestionable in its independent role and needs to command the necessary respect and authority in dealing with the most senior managers in the Bank and its Board of Directors. The Head of Internal Audit reports directly to the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

The successful applicant's responsibilities will include, among other, performing internal audit assignments of all aspects of the EBRD's IT infrastructure and applications, business processes and governance, under the direction of the Principal IT Auditor. This includes working on integrated audits alongside business colleagues in a relatively small, but experienced team.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

· With respect to assigned audits, propose a risk-based IT audit engagement plan, perform the audit, and draft a high quality report, all in compliance with the IIA standards.

· Participate in the discussion of findings and proposed recommendations with IT and/or the business as appropriate, as well asinthe subsequent follow-up of agreed action plans.

· Provide input into the annual risk assessment and audit prioritisation process.

· Carry out specific ad-hoc responsibilities and tasks, including advisory work, as assigned by Internal Audit management.
