Within the Belgian Consulting unit, the Technology Advisory Services (TAS) team focuses on delivering trusted high-end technology advisory and business transformation support to CIOs and the CIO Office. To support and strengthen the continuous growth of this service line, TAS is currently looking for:
IT MANAGEMENT MANAGER
Function:
You will be advising our clients on improving the way they manage technology and their IT function, on several dimensions: organisation, processes, tools, financials, sourcing and procurement… Engagements may range from assessments through to managing transformation - for instance, assessing the maturity of an IT organisation, identifying opportunities for improvement, designing and implementing actions. As Manager, you will be expected to lead teams on engagements, to contribute to commercial development and to the ambitious growth of our business, and to drive the evolution of the team.
Profile
- You have an excellent knowledge of IT and Technology management, together with strong business acumen. You have experience in the domain of IT Management and technology-based business transformation projects, complemented with good general knowledge of technology.
- You have experience in one or several domains of IT management, for instance (but not limited to):
o IT Service Management
o Software development or implementation
o Infrastructure and Operations Management
o IT Financial and Performance Management
o IT Sourcing and Procurement
o IT Project, Programme and Portfolio Management, PMO
Although you might not be experienced in all of these domains, you understand them and are able to discuss the overall picture.
- You are familiar with industry-established frameworks for IT Management, such as ITIL, CobIT or CMMi - a certification is a plus but not mandatory. You have knowledge of, or at least familiarity with, one or several tools used in IT Management.
- You have acquired skills in project management through experience of managing projects. You can manage autonomously a planning and resources to achieve a successful result in due time and with high quality and you can drive a team in a dynamic and collaborative spirit. You are familiar with project management methods and tools, and industry-established methodologies such as PMBOK or Prince2 - a certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- You have contributed to "transformational" projects in the domain of IT, for instance (but not limited to):
o Technology-based Business transformation projects, such as large software solutions implementations,
o IT process design, implementation and improvement,
o Re-organisation of an IT department or IT organization (Corporate re-organisations, Mergers and Acquisitions, major transformation projects, set up of shared services, etc).
- In your assignments, you have demonstrated your understanding of how IT can bring value to the Business and of what drives the performance of an IT organisation. You have gained an overall understanding of how an IT organisation operates, how it is typically organised and you can describe end-to-end IT processes. You are able to discuss confidently the key challenges of an IT organisation, and you can display expertise in one or several IT Management related topics.
- Through your experience you have been exposed to some technologies in more detail, and you are familiar with current technology trends - you feel able to discuss how they can be applied to business challenges.
- As Manager you will need strong interpersonal skills, experience in managing projects and teams, and an appetite for business development. You have demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills, strong communication skills and you are a team player.
- You have 5 to 9 years of experience in either Consulting or Industry in an IT Management related role in which you have acquired familiarity with both IT and the business.
- You have either a computer science or an economics degree (commercial engineering degree or applied economics) with specialisation in IT. A combination of Business and IT education is a definite plus. Any additional degree such as an MBA is an asset.
- You are fluent in English, Dutch and/ or French (at least two out of the three).
