Roles and Responsibilities

The Manager will work with Global IT leadership to support Mattel's current Digital business and enable Mattel's Digital Marketing and Commerce capabilities. The position reports to the Director of Digital Business within Mattel Global Information Technology (GIT) and will be a driving force behind Mattel's strategic projects (enterprise content management, ecommerce, and analytics), as well as have day to day responsibility for web delivery and support. To be successful the candidate will need previous experience leading and managing large and small projects within a Consumer Goods, Media / Entertainment, or Big 4 Consulting environment.

Duties will include:

' Manage team of Business System Analysts and work closely with Business teams to properly resource, plan, and deliver projects
' Create, manage, and execute strategic cross-functional portfolio of projects assuming overall responsibility for quality, development, deliverables and budget
' Ensure online activities are consistent across enterprise and adhere to strategic technology roadmaps
' Provide leadership, guidance, and management to multiple project teams throughout implementation
' Ensure that issues and risks are identified, understood, and dealt with in a manner that mitigates risk to scope, cost, and schedule
' Lead project initiatives across multiple businesses and IT streams
' Manage vendor performance and support functions
' Manage and provide production support for web sites when needed

Key Responsibilities will include:

Analytics (50%)

' Develop, and deliver overall strategy of how to leverage web analytics to drive business results. Specifically, utilize web data and analysis to create concise conclusions and recommendations for improving the user experience, increasing brand exposure and shop conversions, optimizing marketing and merchandising, and positively impacting company's return on investment.
' Lead Global IT, Brand teams, and system integrator on deployment of web analytics toolset across multiple websites
' Lead Global IT and business partners on requirements needed to support evolving state of web analytics and content management
' Proactively engage digital marketing and eCommerce teams by providing web analytics and insights to make data driven decisions, and communicating results to executive management. Ensure optimization of analytics modules as well as other identified tools to achieve best of breed web analytic practice internally

Content Management (25%)
' Act as an advocate for Brand during the implementation of Enterprise Content Management
' Work closely with digital marketing team on development of technical roadmap which leverages enterprise content management capabilities

Brand Web Delivery and Support (25%)
' Hands on manager, ensure on-time on-budget delivery of minor and major website enhancements to branded sites.
' Act as a relationship manager with Brand, International marketing teams, and business stakeholders
' Manage and oversee technical deliverables from 3rd party vendors in support of web development efforts
' Oversee project budget and matrix resources responsible for supporting Branded web development

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

' A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field. MBA, PMP and/or Agile Scrum experience a plus
' Concentration in a field that emphasizes quantitative methods or comparable work experience a plus
' At least 2 years of in depth work experience in web content management and analytics discipline, Coremetrics and / or SDL Tridion a plus
' Have 7+ years of experience working in a global, outsourced and matrixed environment
' Thorough knowledge, understanding and experience with web analytics, and content management best practices and techniques, web metrics, data tagging, Web 2.0 platforms, site measurement tools and SQL
' Experience in deploying enterprise web platforms, and a strong proficiency in Coremetrics (primary) and Tridion (Secondary) a plus
' Ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships - this is a key business facing role
' Capacity to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to multi-task, perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
' Exceptionally strong quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills
' Highly proficient computer skills (including Excel, PowerPoint, SQL)
' Demonstrated leadership skills and prior experience in managing matrixed team
' The ability to work in a self-directed and self-motivated fashion, with a demonstrated strength in planning, organizing and project management skills to meet deadlines
' Passion for the online marketing space with a solid understanding of interactive marketing channels (search, online media, website development, etc.) and direct marketing principles
' Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with interpersonal and influencing skills (at all levels internally, externally and cross-functionally)
' Flexibility to travel occasionally
