Our Client has an immediate need for a full time IT Manager.
Responsible and highly confidential position managing the information technology department including implementation and maintanance of the IT Governance policies. Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects within the information technology department overseeing all aspects of projects. Position includes oversight, evaluation and staff development of personnel within the unit.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Ensures proper functioning of the information processing system and oversees necessary upgrades
Oversees development and maintenance of documentation for systems and applications
Ensures computer equipment, hardware and software are updated to meet organizational needs
Helps business operations groups utilize information systems to improve their efficiency
Recommends and implements best practices in accordance with IT Governance Policy
Coordinates and oversees IT vendors and consultants
Performs as a project manager from definition to implementation including critical review of programs and acceptance testing
Responsible for continuous review of disaster recovery plan to ensure completeness and accuracy
Determines and recommends to Director of Finance strategic development goals and policy changes
Other tasks as requested or required
Skills and Attributes
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures.
Solid project management experience
Working knowledge of SQL and SQL reporting
Knowledge of computer network technologies, programming and applicable languages
Working knowledge of computer applications
Objective, analytical, creative and logical mind with the ability to make accurate evaluations
· Proven leadership skills, ability to supervise and motivate subordinate staff
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Well organized with flexibility, willingness and ability to handle a broad variety of assignments and prioritize effectively
· Considerable knowledge of insurance claim processing, office practices and workflows, and/or IT Governance
Experience Requirements / Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or business administration or the equivalent supplemented by at least five (5) years of experience in the field or in a related area.
