Computer Support Specialist
Job description
Provide technical assistance to computer system users. Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, via telephone, or from remote locations. The right candidate should be autonomous, accomplished, enthusiastic and passionate about the meaning of his/her work.
Key functions
Help Desk Administration
- Oversees all help desk activities at the market level.
- Responds to escalated help desk issues.
- Oversees the administration and maintenance of our tracking software.
- Interacts with internal clients on all levels to help resolve IT-related issues and provides answers in a timely manner.
Networking
- Assists in the planning and implementation of additions, deletions and major modifications to the supporting market infrastructure (2 locations: The Netherlands and Belgium)
- Manage network security at the market level as established by the global IT policies
- Oversees the administration and maintenance of the firm's infrastructure,
Telecommunications
- Manages and develops upgrades to the market's fixed and mobile telephone system,
- Oversees all telephone changes, including routing for seating assignments.
Systems
- Oversees troubleshooting, copiers and printers supervision, systems backups, archiving, and disaster recovery and provides expert support when necessary.
- Works with other market IT members to help implement global IT solutions
Asset Management
- Builds and maintains vendor relationships and manages the purchase of hardware and software products under the control and supervision of the HR Facilities Manager.
- Manages the purchasing of all software, hardware and other IT supplies at the market level under the supervision of the HR Facilities Manager
- Ensures that market assets are maintained responsibly.
Qualifications
· Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including applications: Outlook, Microsoft Suites
· Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
· Strong telephone and interpersonal contact skills required
· Between 2-5 years previous experience
· Fluency in Dutch or French with good knowledge of English
