IT Network Security Test Engineer Job in Newton Abbot, South West Uk
This is a contract role, offered for 3 months initially. In this role, you will focus on the quality and performance of RF, Data and Security/Network Management aspects of the product.
Your day to day duties will involve:
Analysis of Product Technical Requirements and published standards to extract and refine the test requirements.
Establishing a test strategy.
Test Specification, execution, result capture and analysis
Reporting, tracking and retest of product non-conformances.
Timely and accurate reporting of work activity status and issues.
Assessing product quality and readiness for customer release.
Interoperability and subsystem integration testing with third party system components.
You should have previous experience in Security and/or Network Management protocol testing of Telecoms and/or Data communications equipment.
RFC's and security Standards.
System Integration and Inter-Operability Testing
Configuration of Secure Network Management Equipment (Element Managers, RADIUS servers, managed switches etc).
Good communication skills to facilitate team working and accurate transfer of technical information
Experience with SNMP, Secure RADIUS, HTTPs, TLS, CHAPv2.

Experience of any of the following would be an asset:
FIPS 140-2
Common Criteria
Secure password Systems
User and Role based Security
Network management of Wireless systems
You will need previous experience in a similar role.
