IT Network Services Manager Job in New Freedom 17349, Pennsylvania US

Purpose and Objectives

TBB Global Logistics, a non-asset based, supply chain management company located in New Freedom, Pennsylvania seeks an innovative and experienced Network Services Manager with excellent communication and organizational skills. The Manager of Network Services will report to the Vice President, IT to oversee the help desk team associates and manage and maintain complex network systems.

The ideal candidate will be a team player with a positive attitude, who has the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel. Must be highly motivated and able to work under pressure.  Must have demonstrated experience in working with vendors, clients and other team members.

Expectations and Tasks

• In conjunction with the Vice President, IT, ensure alignment with TBB’s strategic goals and the best possible use of TBB resources.
• Coordinate technology tactical planning and provide a sustainable technology framework.
• Promote goals and objectives that advance the use of innovative information technologies. Actively seek ways to leverage the integration of business processes with applicable emerging technologies in order to improve and streamline services in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
• Anticipate significant system and industry changes, presenting information and analysis so that TBB can respond proactively to opportunities.
• Mentor team members to develop/improve their professional technical ability, soft skills, and effectiveness.
• Drive the team toward project objectives and manage project schedules, milestones and deliverables to ensure quality, on time delivery.
• Negotiate contracts with software vendors and IT consultants.
• Adhere to all organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications/Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of network services experience with increasing responsibility.
• 3-5 years of management experience.
• Demonstrated team leadership capabilities.
• Working knowledge of transportation, traffic management or supply chain logistics experience is preferred.
• Ideal candidate will possess an MCSE.
• Strong technical grasp of database interaction and interface preferred.

Skills and Competencies

• Systems engineering support of Windows Server 2003-2008, Microsoft HyperV Virtualization, Microsoft Active Directory (DNS, DHCP, Group Policy), Terminal Services/RDS, Exchange 2010, Microsoft Systems Center Operations Manager, WSUS, Symantec Endpoint Protection, Veritas Backup Exec, WebSense Web Filtering.
• Desktop engineering, including Windows XP and Windows 7.
• Application support of Microsoft IIS, Apache Tomcat, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Pervasive PSQL, Microsoft Sharepoint, Microsoft Dynamics AX, Captaris Rightfax.
• Network engineering experience, including design, configuration, and management of Cisco LAN/WAN products.
• Experience managing fiber based SAN equipment (EMC) and fiber switch gear (Brocade).
• Comfort in developing and executing consolidation and infrastructure improvements.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical details in business language.
• Skilled in organizing and motivating team members to produce high-quality, on-time results.
• Advanced problem solving skills for networks, database applications, and business processes.
• Exhibits accountability and accepts responsibility and consequences for work performance and conduct.
• Sets priorities, overcomes obstacles and opposition, and uses organizational skills to get things done in a timely manner.
• A demonstrated ability to leverage existing resources to maximize technology investments.
• A demonstrated customer service orientation.
