IT Onsite Support Engineer recruitment

Specific Responsibilities:

• Provide onsite and remote (helpdesk) technical IT support to the users in BNP Paribas Investments Partners, primarily the Boston office.

• Work in a high-paced, business-critical IT environment in the Investment Management division of one of the premier global financial institutions.  

• Be part of our global IT support community, working to deliver the highest levels of service experience across our global user base of 4000+ users.  

• Manage the local IT infrastructure environment, liase with the various IT teams within BNP to implement new solutions and optimize the existing setup.

• Individual will be the single point of contact for the local end users to accept, register and resolve their IT-related issues and fulfill their requests.

• Individual will be part of the global 24x5 end user support group, acting as backup to remotely support users in other locations.

• Responsible for meeting the global service levels, managing escalations and maintaining the ticket queue.

• Work within the global process and security framework of BNP Paribas.

• Help manage the service delivery experience of the users and communicate status updates to them and ensure adequate monitoring of their issues.

• Diagnose issues, resolve where possible or transfer the ticket to external vendors or third level support teams as needed.

• Expectation is that upon completion of the on-boarding and training process, individual will resolve the majority of issues and requests.

• Provide support on the Windows XP environment, build new workstations, install applications, establish user rights, create new users, manage their Outlook/Exchange settings, Blackberry accounts, IP Telephony setup, remote access tokens, Bloomberg accounts, etc.

• Provide new desktops, laptops, phones, headsets, printers, blackberries etc.) as requested and process local orders after receiving appropriate approvals. 

• Assist in managing the on site IT infrastructure, ensuring spare parts and /or replacement stock is maintained and kept up to date.

• Manage and execute internal desk moves, infrastructure replacements/upgrades.

• Serve as primary point of contact for local vendors and suppliers and continue to be in constant communication with the central IT Teams.

• Detail-oriented, energetic and industrious self-motivated team player who works well under pressure and has strong time management and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to function without immediate supervision.

• Consummate professional who is proactive, shows initiative and is good at developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external clients.

• Ability to prioritize assignments so that all deadlines are met.

• Experience in working in an Investment Management company or Financial Institutional highly desirable.

Academic Background and Experience:

• Minimum 3-5 years experience in providing 1st and 2nd line end user IT support.

• In depth knowledge of and multi-year experience with the MS Windows (XP) environment, MS Office, Outlook, Exchange, Active Directory.

• Experience with Blackberry, IP Telephony, ITIL processes (primarily Incident Management) preferred.
