IT Operational Risk Manager recruitment
Your prime focus will be to ensure that IT Operational risks are identified and appropriate controls are in place to mitigate these risks.
Role responsibilities include:
- Identify, assess and monitor the company’s current and emerging IT Risks (e.g. automated trading risk, Information Security etc.);
- Work closely with the business to help define an IT Risk framework, help ensure the control framework is fit for purpose and actions are in place to improve where necessary;
- Establish strong relationships with the IT Trading business areas and wider company infrastructure in order to better understand the company's risk profile;
- Preparation and presentation of high quality IT (Operational) Risk reports and analysis to Senior Management and business areas;
- Proactively identify, capture and evaluate operational risk incidents Lead risk assessments and review of new project change initiatives to help the business manage their operational risk exposures;
- Contribute to the development/enhancements of the Operational Risk framework including Expected Loss, Key Risk Scenarios, Risk Metrics and longer term Operational Risk Strategy;
- Work in partnership with the control areas (Compliance, Internal Audit) to deliver appropriate risk, governance and control;
- Seek to promote a culture of awareness of IT (Operational) Risk throughout the company.
Ideally you will posess a Degree in Information Technology, and posess at least 3 year's experience within IT and/or Risk within a financial organisation (preferably trading or asset management ) Excellent undertanding of IT processes, IT organisation, IT Security and IT Infrastructure.
NB This is a hands on role within a dynamic organisation , excellent communication and relationship management skills are essential.
