Major Duties:

- Analyzes and makes expert recommendations to the IT Director and higher echelon program authorities for the evolutionary enhancement and refinement of organizational assets. Such analyses must not only consider current and projected TBOC operational requirements, but must also include reasonable assessments of risk and trade-offs inherent in exploitation and application of the cutting edge technologies and products required to meet such operational objectives. Recommends selection of optimal technical strategies, that is, those that have the best potential for success, within realistic cost/schedule parameters. Ability to clearly and accurately document observations and propose or assess corrective actions.
- Identifies key challenges associated with integrating new IT assets into the existing IT architecture and infrastructure. Leads efforts to devise technical strategies to overcome such challenges.
- Conducts continuing, broad-based assessments of progress toward achievement of overall program technical and C2 performance objectives. Identifies significant technical challenges and devises/implements solutions, whenever possible, before such have a negative effect on program schedules and objectives. Provides technical oversight for current IT organizational operations as well, as well as incremental improvements to these assets. Keeps the Director and other reporting seniors informed of progress and status.
- Participates actively in definition and documentation of long-range planning documents, including associated resources requirements, and in their presentation and defense to higher-echelon IT program authorities. Also briefs major customer organizations (often, Flag commanders and SES managers of major DoD commands) on IT plans and strategies.
- Oversees the execution of plans once developed.

Required Skills:
- Experienced with the Department of Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP)
- Incumbent must have a Security + certification IAW DOD 8570.1.
- Experience on large program it efforts
- Minimum of BS/BA in a technical field and 5 years of experience.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate with senior management, as well as technical staff.
- Demonstrated capability to operate independently and perform with minimal guidance.
- Exhibits excellent interpersonal relationships and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplined team.
 - Ten years of military experience required with experience in IT Plans and Operations -branch of service immaterial.
- Large-scale IT projects development/management experience.
- Must possess a Top Secret Clearance with access to SCI.
- Must possess a US passport
