Description:
This role is for a support Manager for MOMS GSD team within EQ IT HK . The candidate will be responsible for day to day operations related with applications deployment, issues management other critical applications related items in the bank. The candidate will also responsible for analyzing the performance and service delivery of MOMS and look for ways to enhance the business applications
You will be responsible for:
- Client interfacing for Problem / Incident Management
- Writing SLAs and measurement/reporting of SLA Performance
- Prioritizing support desk tasks activities
- Manage quality process plans
- Project tracking
- Achieving project milestones
- Monitoring progress and taking corrective actions
- Status reporting and escalation to management
- Coordinating with the project team and managing inter team coordination.
- Acting as a liaison between UBS and Polaris.
- Optimizing existing processes.
- Managing issues with downstream/upstream teams.
- Acting as a liaison between UBS and Polaris.
- Ensuring training needs identified for all team members
- Committing to fulfill the training needs of team members by arranging appropriate internal training courses.
- Plan, manage and implement global deployment of business applications, including demonstrating new products to business users.
- Proactively seek ways to provide a better service e.g. implementing new products or enhancements
- Identify operational risks, inefficiencies, capability gaps, best practices, and be the subject matter expert for the current model.
- Oversee the process on FX to ensure that the end to end settlement offering is robust.
- Map and maintain oversight of ad-hoc and exceptional processes related to FX operations.
- Support monitoring of counterparty performance on an ongoing basis to ensure superior quality service.
- Proactively identify, promote, and implement enhancements which improve core operational efficiency, consistency, quality and operational risk profile.
Requirement:
- MSc or BSc Computer Science
- Fluency in English with excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Minimum 12 years technical experience supporting the critical applications in cash equities in investment banks
- Excellent problem solving, analytical skills and project management
- Deep understanding of FX Operations and back office technology, Cash Equities, strategy system, Deployment, QA, and facts.
- Strong grasp of risk and controls in Operations environment.
- Proven track record in a leadership capacity / Prior experience of dealing with multiple teams.
- Experience interacting directly with brokerage Front Office culture.
- Experience working in a geographically diversified team.
- Very good understanding of performance tuning concepts in Oracle and Linux.
- Good knowledge on Unix, Autosys, Perl and shell scripting
- Prior knowledge of financial services sector [e.g. Wealth Management, Equities, Core Banking, Market Risk Management] is highly desirable
- Use technical and analytical expertise and knowledge of systems to resolve problems internally or through outside vendors and manufacturer
