We are seeking an experienced, a minimum of ten years, IT professional who has demonstrated the following:

·         Strong organizational and prioritization skills, including the ability to effectively multi-task 

·         Strong leadership, interpersonal communication, root cause problem analysis and conflict management skills

·         Working knowledge of Change Management Practices involving process, people and technology

·         Proficiency with the Microsoft SBS and Office Suite of products and network environments 

·         Ability to comprehend, coordinate and effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical internal staff and clients

·         Ability to learn new systems or software packages as necessary

·         Strong experience with Cisco VPN firewall, FTP and domain controlled server

·         Ability to recommend, develop, and maintain an IT solution plan for small business

·         Process Improvement skills that generate creative solutions for improved effectiveness

 

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

·         Workstation and laptop deployment and operation, installing, purchasing and troubleshooting system software and programs and system security administration

·         Analyzing configuration issues and developing solutions to individual end-user problems for hardware and software

·         Setting up and maintaining a robust technology environment, including passwords, phone systems, data backup/recovery, integrity and file system security for the desktop/laptop and distributed field computing environment

·         Creating and maintaining a comprehensive hardware and software inventory that supports effective licensing and compliance

·         Researching and recommending hardware and software solutions, ensuring compliance and upgrades as necessary

·         Managing and maintaining an effective, flexible and robust hardware and software infrastructure that leverages available technologies and effectively supports strategic operations

·         Troubleshooting mobile software issues for field survey staff

·         Recommending, setting up, configuring and maintaining other Microsoft business products such as MS SharePoint

·         Justification, purchasing,  and configuration of field equipment

·         Traveling to project sites throughout the USA to train and/or troubleshoot equipment units

Qualified candidates will have:

·         A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

·         Knowledge of relevant information technologies/systems and environments

·         Working knowledge of Oracle and SQL databases

·         Preferred familiarity with the Electric and Gas Utilities industry

·         Preferred background in GIS (Geospatial Technology), experience with ESRI products a plus

·         Ability to travel as needed based on project start and end dates (travel estimated about 50%)
