IT Professional Services recruitment

* Transformational change agent responsible for overseeing end to end sourcing activities related to the purchase of IT professional services with a concentration on transformational initiatives both in IT and functional areas with significant reliance on technology for program success.
* Secures the buy-in and support of key transformational business leaders to drive the needed cost, compliance and risk improvements in these key business areas.
* Responsibilities include sourcing a wide range of professional services including IT consulting, IT outsourcing, off-shore vendor management, IT staff augmentation, application development/maintenance and hosted services.
* Leverages mature business relationship skills to obtain the trust, buy-in and support of key transformational business leaders and to develop in depth knowledge of the strategy supporting transformational initiatives and the associated value drivers and risks.
* Builds relationships and leverages initiative specific knowledge to develop pipeline of incoming work and carefully balances the work of identifying and capitalizing on cost and risk reduction activities while proactively identifying and removing roadblocks to nimble execution where needed to support the business objectives.
* Acts as a trusted advisor to internal business partners to leverage sourcing expertise and lead sourcing activities that drive value in support of transformational initiatives and significant organizational change.
* Leads the development, issuance and evaluation of competitive market assessments (RFXs); contract negotiations with selected vendors and review, draft and negotiate master service agreements, statements of work and other contract documents; partner with the Legal department and other support groups to ensure completion of acceptable contracts; determine the sourcing strategy related to sourcing events with resulting cost reductions, cost avoidance and contract terms that limit risk to AIG; conduct vendor research and provide information and guidance to business partners regarding vendor selections; manage major vendor relationships including off-shore vendors; identify incoming work that is in an SOW format but is appropriate to be redirected for automated processing via the staff augmentation tool; strengthen and expand existing client relationships and develop additional relationships.

*Minimum of 10 years experience sourcing and negotiating agreements for IT professional services and IT outsourcing.
*Demonstrated success in business relationship management in environments undergoing transformational change.
*Ability to act as a change agent and lead by example.
*Significant experience and expertise leading strategic sourcing processes (i.e, RFx development and execution) and reviewing, analyzing, drafting and negotiating contract terms (commercial and legal) related to IT professional services and IT outsourcing, including master professional services agreements, statements of work and agreements for business process outsourcing services. Experience managing preferred vendor programs.
*Familiarity with IT consulting, staff augmentation and outsourcing constructs and experience in strategic partnerships with internal development organizations in the context of transformation and outsourcing. Strong packaging and presentation skills supported by experience in defining and implementing sourcing and business strategies.
*Strong financial analysis skills with the ability analyze and explain pricing models; strong understanding of legal concepts as related to contract negotiations.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
*Excellent relationship management skills, as well as ability to work with all levels of management.
*Ability to navigate, interact and lead effectively within a large, diverse organization undergoing significant change.
*Ability to handle multiple projects and complete deals within defined deadlines with short lead times.
*Self-motivated and must possess the knowledge, experience and discipline to work successfully and independently in an environment where the candidate's manager, peers and business partners are based in multiple office locations globally.
*Skilled on applicable PC software systems as well as Ariba.
*MBA, juris doctor, certified purchasing manager, masters degree in technology, or equivalent experience, required.
