IT Project Lead/Business Analyst Job in San Francisco 94101, California US
EVault, a Seagate Company, is seeking a Business Analyst/Project Lead for its Business Applications Team. The Project Lead/Business Analyst will be a very creative individual with strong communication, business analysis and technical skills who assists the team in the successful implementation and support of the business applications required to manage the business. The Project Lead/Business Analyst helps drive the success of business systems projects, defined as being on time, on budget, and meeting requirements. This position reports to the Director of Business Systems and requires demonstrated technical, people, and project management experience in distributed development environments.

- Business requirements gathering and process mapping
- Assisting with project scoping, planning, and scheduling for several concurrent projects
- Working with cross functional business teams and defining common best practice business processes
- Being a communication focal point providing coordination for Business Systems projects
- Anticipating risks and mitigating them before they become serious
- Ensuring that your projects result in successful business systems implementations
- Facilitating cross-functional alignment and agreements around project issues
What We’re Looking For:
- 3-5 years of experience in software project management
- 6+ years of experience in the software development industry
- Understand system capabilities and business requirements, and drive standard scalable solutions
- Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and productivity within the context of the overall business strategy
- Document work using the required standards, methods and tools
• Requirements gathering
• Business Process Mapping and Fit gap analysis
• Creation of business process flows (as-is to-be) - ERP hands on experience – Dynamics GP a plus
- BI system experience a plus
- Salesforce.com experience a plus
- Manage system release schedules in coordination with Business Systems teams.
- Oversee User Acceptance testing on system and/or product enhancements
- Define and consistently measure Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for system development and QA processes (e.g. timeliness, number of defects, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills with all levels of technical and business resources
- Good analytical skills, understanding of project lifecycles, and the ability to act in an entrepreneurial manner to ensure the software delivered matches the business communities’ needs
- Experience with Agile development methodologies a plus
- Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)/Software as a Service (Saas) experience a plus
- Experience in the storage industry is a plus, but not required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related technical discipline
