IT Project Leader Job in New York, New York Us
We have been retained by a large, prominent, voluntary metropolitan NYC healthcare organization which offers a full continuum of care to locate a Project Lead/Manager who will coordinate the successful delivery of complex projects through all defined phases of the project life cycle. This individual reports to the CIO. He/she will facilitate the deployment of new clinical and business applications, including customization, implementation, documentation, training, user support, and other infrastructure related tasks. He/she will coordinate a cross functional team of subject matter experts and associates while they are assigned to a project. External consultants, contracted resources, and employees from various IT and non-IT departments may also participate on a project team during the project lifecycle. Our client will look at a seasoned IT Analyst who seeks to move into Project Management!!
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Lead the planning and implementation of various clinical and non-clinical applications
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, tasks and resource requirements
- Develop and maintain the project work plan based on information from subject matter experts
- Coordinate the project specific activities and deliverables from cross-functional project teams
- Control change, adjust the budget, timeline, and project scope to accommodate approved changes
- Conduct quality reviews and evaluation to assess progress of project
- Track project deliverables and provide direction and support to project team
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders
- Monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
- Identify and escalate project risks and issues as needed in a timely manner
- Coordinate end user training and support for clinical and non-clinical applications
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience coupled with an in-depth understanding of the Healthcare industry and experience in implementing clinical as well as non-clinical systems in Healthcare organization. He/she shall have the ability to effectively communicate within all levels of the organization and with the client base and must be well organized, detail oriented, highly analytical and possess strong problem solving skills. Excellent customer service and verbal and written communication skills are required. He/she must be able to enforce deadlines in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
