IT Project Manager – Top-Tier Investment Bank recruitment

Responsibilities:

Manages all technology and possibly some business aspects of a project
Gets involved in regular project planning and prioritisation exercises with users
Identify stakeholders and clients, evaluate their interests and establish effective communication channels with them
Manages the project planning, including effort estimation, budgeting, resource planning, risk remediation, dependency management etc
Is responsible for maintaining strong project governance and transparency on all aspects of the project
Delegates responsibilities for business analysis, development, testing and deployment efficiently and effectively
Monitors progress of the aforementioned teams, whilst keeping track of cost
Tracks issues and risks. Escalates all problems in a timely and clear manner
Has overall responsibility for the smooth running of the project
Ensures that the agreed SDLC is followed and that all output, as per the quality plan, is delivered and appropriately maintained
Ensuring that project implementation reviews are performed and actions are taken by the respective owners for follow up and completion

Requirements:

Solid experience of managing application development projects of medium to large size (over 50 PM), end to end, preferably on web application development (Java, WAS, Oracle) or solid business analysis experience and thorough understanding of requirements traceability and use cases
Experience with managing multiple virtual teams, preferably including China teams
Experience in supporting complex governance – multiple governance/stakeholders with various focus (global vs. local), remote stakeholders
Knowledge of compliance requirements in banking environment
Experience with managing multiple virtual teams

Strong development and technical skills J2EE, Database, Web Applications, Multithreading, Transactions, Security
