Job Purpose Information Technology project manager with expertise and creativity in managing both technical and business objectives. This position oversees IT Department projects to track status and resource allocation and ensure they are completed on time and within budget. Job Responsibilities Manage software/hardware development projects to ensure quality, on time, within budget delivery from requirement definition through testing, rollout and support. Perform project planning and sizing activities, identify resource requirements, and oversee a team capable of producing specified deliverables. Perform work breakdown and task identification, assign tasks to project resources, track progress on assigned tasks, and manage the assembly of completed tasks into coherent deliverables. Create and maintain an information technology project plan that communicates tasks, milestone dates, status and resource allocation. Coordinate delivery of development (beta) and production releases that meet quality assurance standards. Assist technical team in design and development tasks. Assist test team in creating test plans and testing efforts. Demonstrated ability to provide cross-functional leadership, created and maintains a positive work environment by motivating and managing people. Perform technical liaison functions to all clients/customers. Ability to work with Executive stakeholders to build consensus. Identify and communicate major milestones and risks to achieving those milestones in a positive manner. Job Requirements Must have undergraduate studies in business, management information systems, computer science or related field. BA or equivalent is preferred. PMI Certification is preferable. 5-7 years experience managing complex software development projects Experience in writing and managing RFP's Experience in managing deliverables from 3rd party vendors Advanced communication, organization, and project management skills Excellent written and oral communication skills with proven ability to deliver clear messages, set expectations, and build relationships with all groups, even when delivering a tough message. Expertise in using MS Project and/or other project management tools Other Requirements Must perform the job safely and utilize proper safety techniques and use of equipment when appropriate. Travel Requirements 6 - 10 trips per year. On-Call Requirements Yes - Monday through Friday, weekends if needed.
