Job Description:

The Project Manager will be responsible for running projects for the development of all store systems. This person will have experience creating detailed project plans using MS Project. Our ideal candidate will be a customer-focused, self-motivated and detailed-oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Must have the ability to juggle changing priorities, multitask, build strong customer relationships, communicate and work well within a team environment.

Responsibilities:

               Lead project teams and manage activities associated with projects that are typically cross-department or organizational entity-wide in scope. Projects range from simple to technical in nature and may last any where from a week to six months.

               Work closely with the department heads, finance group and the Executive team to establish the scope and goals of the project and provide leadership for the definition and delivery of project initiatives

               Develop key project documentation to thoroughly understand what staff member(s) and or consultant(s) are needed to complete projects -e.g., statements-of-work, change orders, project plans, issues list, risk management lists, status reports, meeting agendas, post-mortem reports, etc.

               Work with the cross functional teams to identify, articulate, and manage project risks and issues.

               Proactively manage and direct on-site IT staff including consultants and external vendors

               Effectively communicate and advise the management team of project statuses which includes inter project dependencies, external project dependencies, realistic timelines for completion.

               Develop and manage project plans working with team members to understand problems, focus on bringing issues to resolution, and escalate as necessary to meet timelines.

               Analyze and effectively report on project metrics -e.g., hours burned vs. hours estimated, project progress, risk issues etc.

               Responsible for managing the queue of up coming project.

               Must be metrics driven and have experience tracking metrics and deliverables

               Must have experience with resource management tool and build all resource needs within master project outline.


 

Required Skills:

               5 years experience in IT Project Management.

               Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related scientific or technical discipline.

               Project Management Professional (PMP) certification highly preferred.

               Strong understanding of the full SDLC and experience with formal SDLC Methodologies

               Experience with project estimating, scheduling/planning and tracking methods

               Experience performing risk and issue management including strategies related to identifying risks, tracking and mitigating risks

               Hands on experience using PM Tools to manage project execution (MS Project)
