IT Project Manager Job in Leatherhead, Southern UK
IT Project Manager (Leatherhead) up to £55K
The Ortolan Group in partnership with it's client Cisilion is currently looking for an experienced IT Project Manager
The ideal candidate would have a proven track record of delivering projects into end users.
An understanding of technologies, including Unified Communications, Data Centre, Network Security and Wireless would be highly beneficial.As would any product knowledge of Cisco, Riverbed, HP, Oracle, NetApp, VMWare, EMC, McAfee, F5 and Palo Alto.
A background of working in a systems integrator would support any application as well as an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Primary requirements of the role include:
- Ensuring that projects are delivered to customers within the agreed scope of works, timescales and to the quality expected
- Experienced in Prince II project management processes (Practitioner Level preferably) and lifecycles
- Experience of managing complex network projects that include project task prioritization, planning, estimating, work assignment, documentation and quality assurance at every stage of a project
- Proven ability to produce project documentation, including project plans and status reports, all with attention to detail
- Work closely with Pre-sales and Sales to understand the customers requirements for the project, developing effective working relationships and ongoing management processes for the project
- Define the deliverables, resource requirements and work plan for the project, and manage their development and delivery
- To ensure that the project is delivered within the financial requirements
- To estimate and plan projects from start to finish, with built in contingencies
- Manage, monitor and motivate the project team assigned to the project
Knowledge and Key Skills
- Prince II accredited
- Knowledge of Cisco
- A proven track record of successful project implementation in a network environment
- Excellent client facing skills
- Thorough knowledge of MS Project
- The ability to meet tight deadlines and co-ordinate multiple projects
- The ability to have a strong impact and influence key decisions
