IT Project Manager

Position: IT Project Manager * PMI / PMP Certified Responsibilities: * Responsible for developing the deliverables and implementing them into an organized project plan. * Develops the detailed work packages, schedules, budgets, identifies the necessary resources and provides regular updates and communications to client. * Exercises independent judgment with little or no supervision. * Has full accountability, including people leadership, directing work efforts and finding timely solutions to technical problems and people management issues. * Facilitate joint planning with the client in the early stages of project formation * Determine organizational and financial feasibility of the project, including the completion of the business case * Facilitates schedule and cost forecasting and mentors program managers in determining risk based provisions * Manages project scope/requirements changes, multiple and competing demands and priorities determining and conveying impact on budget, time and risk using appropriate fact-based metrics/assumptions * Recommend best solutions to upper management based on understanding of business issues * Promote innovative or improved methods to get the work done and implements best practices * Resolve issues and conflicts, remove barriers, and resolve minor project issues. * Act as escalation point for potential conflicts between direction and project constraints Qualifications: * Bachelor degree or equivalent education/experience * 7+ years* experience in managing large scale, high visibility IT projects * Experience managing several significant projects simultaneously * PMI / PMP Certified OR George Washington University Certified * 9 areas of PM Knowledge familiarity (PMBOK) * Project Phases * PM Disciplines o Schedule Creation Control o Risk / Issue Management o Change Management o Budget/Resource Management o Communication o Quality Management * PM Methodologies such as Waterfall or Agile * Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process * Offshore experience * Process improvement experience * Problem Ticket management / reduction * Project Team Management* creating and motivating a high-performance team o Motivational *Fit* o Soft Skills - People o Leadership and Strength of personality * ability to direct resources and diplomatically push back, when necessary o Autonomy * ability to provide conduct/complete assignments with lower levels of interaction o Anticipation * providing value-add suggestions by thinking proactively * Advanced user proficiency with MS Project and/or Visio * Highly organized with superior time management skills, customer service orientation and interpersonal skills * Strong verbal and written communications skills required to manage communications to all clients * Advanced knowledge of project metrics, including gathering, reporting, trend analysis, creation, and metrics * Ability to identify issues and problems, generate solutions and choose appropriate alternatives using basic root cause analysis * Advanced understanding of IT principals, including lifecycle planning, estimating and architecture * High level of general management skills including, but not limited to, leading, negotiating, communicating and team building Replies to: Frank Santoro * The Judge Group * 888.228.7162 x1552 or fsantoro@judge.com Reference ID: 353136e Background Checks Drug Screen: * Within 24-48 hours of accepting a contingent offer of employment, all candidates will be required to take a Drug test.
