IT Project Manager Job in Richmond, British Columbia Canada

The Corix Group has an immediate opening for the position of IT Project Manager (Contract) in our Richmond Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading Information Service projects involving inventory management systems, work order systems and operations management systems. This is a six month contract position which offers a very competitive salary.
Duties and Responsibiities:
- Completes assigned projects on time, on budget and on scope
- Ability to estimate project timelines and critical paths
- Ability to effectively track and report on the project status including schedule, costs and overall solution
- Ability to build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders including executives, customers and vendors
- Works as a team lead with senior staff on large, complex technical projects. Provide input on how to improve the existing processes, operational efficiencies of the system and recommend improvement initiatives
- Analyzes complex problems, develops and implements solutions, and makes decisions that significantly impact project(s)
- Ability to gather system and business requirements and can translate these into system design documentation
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of relevant work experience
- Certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) an asset
- Certified Business Analyst an asset
- PC and desktop application expertise (e.g., Microsoft Office, e-mail, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, standards, and procedures
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Strong organizational and problem solving abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- 2-3 years experience with utility operations/projects
- Experience with inventory management systems and work order management systems an asset
- Travel to the USA is required
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) an asset
