The EMEA operational risk team has responsibility for the development of operational risk management for the region. This includes:
- Developing the operational risk strategy and governance framework.
- Establishing a set of operational risk products and services to support the business areas’ management of operational risk.
- Developing the tools and templates to allow the effective collection, review and use of operational risk information.
- Through a team of Relationship Partners and Senior Risk Managers, effectively working with Operational Risk Co-ordinators across the business to embed an operational risk culture throughout the organisation.

To support delivery of these priorities, the Technology Operational Risk Manager role will involve:
- Operational risk oversight for technology, systems, information security business continuity management risks.
- Supporting the development of the Operational Risk framework, products and services.
- Taking ownership of delivery of key business reports.
- Developing specific aspects of the operational risk framework as required.
- Supporting the Corporate Operational Manager in the performance of their responsibilities.
- Developing a close working relationship with key business stakeholders and providing ongoing communication of key Operational Risk developments and requirements.
- Providing support and challenge to key business stakeholders in their development and maintenance of Operational Risk products; including: RCSAs, KRIs, events.
- Leading the collation, analysis and reporting of operational risk MI in through monthly Aggregated Risk Profiles, which will be presented to business management.
- Identifying key trends, issues and other insights requiring further investigation and following up with the business as appropriate.

- Support the relationship with the Technology functions.
- As required, support the relationship with other areas of the bank.
- Coordinate production of monthly reporting as required.
- Support and lead aspects of operational risk framework development and implementation.
- Provide independent expert advice to the business areas on operational risk issues.
candidates should have.....
- A minimum of 5 years experience in technology risk management (OR/audit/sox/technology risk management).
- Understanding of the role of Operational Risk in a Global Markets business.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of key business priorities
- A proactive approach in the workplace.
