IT Risk Manager – Asia recruitment
Reporting to the Head of Technology with a dotted line to the global head of risk you will be responsible for the oversight of risk within the APAC region. Working with the global head office your primary responsibility is to provide oversight, guidance and subject matter expert support with regards all aspects of technology risk for the Asian offices. This bank is currently expanding rapidly within Asia and is looking for a Risk Manager who can grow with them. The role will provide the opportunity for the ideal candidate to put in place the risk frameworks that will allow the company to grow quickly whilst managing their Risk to the highest level.
Key tasks and responsibilities include:
- Manage and coordinate the effective delivery of high quality and cost effective IT risk management across the Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing and Mumbai offices.
- Working with head office to ensure that Asia governance is in line with those of head office
- Manage and deliver location specific IT Risk change programs.
- Provide location specific thought leadership for IT Risk .
- Contribute to the definition of IT Risk requirements and represent IT Risk APAC location in the inter-divisional working groups (e.g. for policy development, regulatory engagement).
- Provide Asia specific input for the Global IT Risk strategy
Requirements:
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills. Any Asian language skills are desirable
- Experienced Technology Risk Manager with minimum of 10 years of experience in IT Security and IT Risk.
- The ability to work well under pressure
- Experience of working in the financial sector across
- Experience of working regularly with senior level stakeholders.
- Knowledge and experience of the legal and regulatory environments within Asia, ideally with some knowledge of Singapore, Hong Kong, China and India.
- In-depth IT experience of IT Risk Frameworks and governance methodologies
- A wide range of technology experience ideally grounded with a Computer Science Degree
