IT Risk Manager – MOT BFS – Permanent recruitment
Market Operations and Technology (MOT) provides technology and market operations to Macquarie's businesses.
The Technology Division is responsible for the management of Macquarie's technology infrastructure, the support and development of existing business systems and the delivery and deployment of new systems, technologies and services. It comprises business aligned teams which provide dedicated and specialist services to businesses as well as central teams which provide shared services, such as infrastructure, to multiple businesses.
Due to the continuing importance of managing information risk, we require an experienced IT Risk Manager to report into the Divisional ITG BFS Risk Manager, to aid with strategic execution of risk mitigation activities.
The candidate must have demonstrable experience in Senior Management exposure and reporting, yet similarly ability to execute as required. We are seeking an experienced IT Risk Manager who is excited by this challenge to also:
- Champion risk, compliance and security frameworks and proactively conduct assessment and identification of IT risks
- Facilitate the rollout of Macquarie Policies and implementation of mechanisms to support these
- Coordinating the performance of internal and external audit activities and team efforts to strengthen internal controls of IT
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of risk management practices and awareness within the ITG BFS teams
- Undertake IT operational risk self assessments
- Develop procedures and guidelines to facilitate improved risk management techniques
- Assist in guidance and support of global team members
The following technical skills are required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related study, and CISA certified
- Have a practical and technical understanding of IT Risk Management through 10+ years experience in a similar role, Professional Services or Public Accounting
- Application of ITIL and COBIT in financial services industries
- Demonstrated experience with common IT architecture including Windows and Unix (Solaris) operating systems, Sybase, Oracle and SQL server databases
