About the opportunity
IT Risk Transformation is a significant growth focus for Ernst Young's Advisory business, and is closely linked to the IT Assurance practice. We are seeking highly motivated individuals who are passionate to help grow this business and flexible to manage both IT Risk and IT Assurance engagements.
As Manager, IT Risk Transformation, you will manage and participate in IT Risk and IT Assurance client engagements and internal projects. An important part of your role will be to actively establish, maintain and strengthen relationships with internal and external stakeholders, with a focus on financial services clients. You will also identify and pursue potential business opportunities for Ernst Young within new and existing clients, and work closely with practice leadership in winning these. You will be responsible for planning, managing delivery, and ensuring quality of engagements, including proactive identification and communication of engagement risks and issues.
In line with Ernst Young's commitment to quality, you will supervise team members on engagements and monitor the quality of team deliverables. As an influential member of the team you will promote a positive learning culture, act as a counsellor and coach junior team members to contribute to their development.
About you
In your role as an IT Risk Manager you will:
- Execute and manage IT Risk Management and IT Project Assurance engagements and when required IT Assurance engagements
- Manage and supervise teams of up to five people
- Budget and manage engagement economics
- Prepare, review, and deliver client reports and presentations
- Manage client stakeholder relationships at technical, manager, and executive level
- Build strong EY internal stakeholder relationships across Advisory and Assurance services
- Prepare and deliver to clients proposals and other sales supporting materials
- Work with the business leaders to develop the practice and execute go to market plans
- Build strong internal relationships within Ernst Young Advisory Services and with other services across the organization
- Manage staff performance
- Contribute to staff recruiting, retention and development activities
- Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures
Qualifications:
We are looking for people with knowledge and experience in the following areas,
- IT Risk Management Frameworks
- Risk assessment and risk profiling
- Understanding of the "Three lines of Defence" concept
- Vendor risk management
- Ability to assess gaps and issue areas and present pragmatic mitigations and recommendations for improvement
- Ability to manage client stakeholders at manager and executive level
- Experience with IT governance, risk, and compliance tools and enablers (e.g. eGRC)
- Robust understanding of program and project management practices and methodologies
- Project assurance/advisory services (e.g. pre- and post-implementation reviews)
- Understanding of business processes, applications, and related controls within Banking and Capital Markets, Insurance or Asset Management
- APRA regulatory standards and guidelines
- Understanding of IT Governance frameworks such as COBIT, internal control principles and related regulations
- Understanding of IT service delivery, operations, and infrastructure
- Evaluation of design and operating effectiveness of application and infrastructure level IT controls
- Knowledge of IT security
- Demonstrated 5-8 year track record with one or more "Big 4" audit firms, a blue chip consulting or major FSI
- Strong academic record including a degree
- Certifications such as CRISC, CGEIT, PMP, PRINCE2
