IT Security Analyst recruitment

Role Overview

This role is offered as a 23 month short term contract.

To support the IT Security team with its day to day IT Security requirements. Specific responsibility for the completion of the IT Security related Internal Controls and management of exceptions. Day to day management of the Bank's website filter and spam controls.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

· Develop, define, maintain and deliver daily, weekly and monthly IT Security information reconciliations and reports for IT management.

· Deputise for the IT Security Manager in his/her absence

· Complete IT Security Internal Control requirements and providing support to the IT Department and third parties where required.

· 2nd line user support for Change Control Administration function when needs arise, i.e. though sickness, holiday and peaks in workload.

· 2nd line user support for WebSense related issues.

· First point of contact for complex security software issues that cannot be solved by the Helpdesk.

· Enables internal and third party resources to deliver security solutions, including virtualised server environments

· Carries out analysis, specification, development and testing of enhancements and new features to the Bank's email and spam controls.

· Responsible for updating IT Security procedures and support documentation.

· Leads the implementation of process change/redesign of IT Security Procedures.

· Ownership of regular reporting requirements such as email usage, internet usage, Anti-Virus coverage.

· Contributes to the delivery of IT Security strategic objectives within the overall IT strategy.

· Performs other tasks as directed by management.

Essential Skills, Experience Qualifications

· At least five years' experience in delivering IT solutions in a relevant role.

· A high degree of computer literacy: Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential.

· Excellent knowledge of market leading IT security methods and technologies, for example, Anti-Virus, spam, malware.

· Previous experience of QSM and QSM Workflow.

· Demonstrable experience in Change Control process and procedures.

· Good understanding of McAfee products, WebSense, MailSweeper.

· A high degree of competency in Microsoft products, W2K3 W2K8 server, Windows 7, HP UX Versions 10.20 11.00, Red Hat Linux and Oracle is essential

· Experience of similar role in financial services sector would be an advantage.
