JOB DESCRIPTION:
The successful candidate will responsible for identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities in the FOH LAN. Candidate will be responsible for conducting security scans and testing.  Candidate will review both COTS and GOTS applications for security vulnerabilities.  Candidate will work at the FOH data center as part of the operations team ensuring FOH networks, systems and applications are safe.  Candidate will configure and use multiple tools, ensure proper configurations, develop and implement policy and procedures to protect the CIA (confidentiality, integrity and availability) of FOH IT resources.  Candidate will assist with documenting security controls and developing security tool Standard Operating procedures.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Proven ability to troubleshoot complex system problem

 
 
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
·         Experience within Federal Government IT security preferred
·         Experience reviewing code for security compliance
·         Experience managing open source software and operating systems is a plus

 
 
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Work hours may vary, but the standard day is 8-hours with some allowance for flextime between 7 AM to 6 PM PST. Except under unusual circumstances, the standard work week is set at 40 hours.  Candidate must be willing to provide after-hours support to meet operational needs that cannot be accomplished during work hours.
