About the opportunity
Businesses today face increasing information security risks as the complexity of technologies and communications continues to grow. You will be joining a well established and vibrant team who are a part of a global network of Advanced Security Centres (ASC) that are designed to help you reach your career goals as an IT Security technical specialist.
As one of our Advanced Security Centre professionals, you'll help our clients perform better in a rapidly changing environment. Although your desk will be in our Sydney office servicing our Sydney market you will be fully supported by our well established Melbourne based Advanced Security Centre and will be a member of the newly expanded team across the two cities.
Working within our Advanced Security Centre team you will be providing a variety of technical IT Security services. You'll be executing a range of security services within the IT security environment by performing/managing attack and penetration assessments on a wide range of technologies.
About you
In your role as a Technical IT Security Consultant you'll:
- Be a trusted member of our established and industry respected Melbourne based Advanced Security Centre
- Execute and help to manage IT Security engagements
- Work effectively as a remote team member, share responsibility, provide support, maintain communication and update senior team members on progress
- Want to evolve your skills to match IT Security trends
- Prepare client reports and presentations
- Prepare and, where required, deliver to clients proposals and other sales supporting materials
- Manage client stakeholder relationships
- Contribute to IT Security staff recruiting, retention and development activities
- Work with the business leaders to develop the practice and execute go to market plans
- Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures
Qualifications:
We're looking for people with knowledge and experience in the following areas, and already have deep experience and technical competence in several:
• A methodological approach to attack and penetration testing
• One or more scripting programming language
• Security testing of web-based applications
• Application security source code assessments
• UNIX security
• Database administration
• IT Security related professional certifications
• Familiarity with mobile device programming/security
• One or more web development programming language
• Working knowledge of network protocols
• Microsoft Windows/Active Directory security
• Network security: firewalls/routers/switches/VLANs
• Wireless security
• Systems security skills in assessment, design, architecture, management and reporting
You'll have a minimum of 3 years experience in the IT security space, and a Bachelor's and/or post graduate degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related major. You should hold or be willing to pursue related professional certifications such as the CISSP, CISM, and/or CISA.
