IT Senior System Analyst / Project Manager recruitment

WM APAC is embarking on a strategic programme to revamp the application platform. The order management suites of applications are considered a key area of focus.
The incumbent will work in the "WMIT APAC-Order Management" stream as the Lead Senior System Analyst /Project Manager to conduct analysis and formulate the strategy for the replacement. The initial focus will be HK/Singapore where there is a global strategy to be aligned with. The aim is to develop the hub strategy, where hub includes AUS, JP, TW, China and India. In this analysis phase, the roles responsibilities will include
- Responsible for the in-depth analysis of the current situations, business and technical requirements, business case and project planning which eventually leads to the development of the strategic roadmap of the new order management solution
- Take the ownership of all business/system analysis, and requirement gathering for all order management systems. Using the CBM model, identify proper ownership of each function and plan for the migration steps.
- Manage and develop ongoing relationship with regional stakeholders including location IT, infrastructure, production support team etc.
- Provide mentoring to other junior staff and drive best practices and process improvement for better efficiency and productivity
- Continually improve knowledge of development processes and application within teams. Drive on development process improvement and working model streamlining.
- Work closely with other function heads and IT teams to ensure deliverables are in compliance with bank standards and architectural models.
Requirements:
- Bachelor in computer science or equivalent, desirably major in computer science or computer engineering
- Minimum of 10 years relevant IT experiences in front office within the Investment Banking Industry
- Minimum 5 years of experience in leading technical teams
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the analysis, design, implementation and support of large complex front office systems
- Working experience in front office technology in a regional environment, in particular, order management system, either sell side or buy side
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, organization and leadership skills
- Strong team player with a strong desire for excellence
- Good knowledge on equities, derivatives, treasury products, … etc
- Strong technical skills in Core Java, J2EE, Database Web Applications, Multithreading, and Middleware technology like Enterprise Service Bus, Complex Event Processing Engine
- Good knowledge of design/modeling standards (UML, design patterns etc.), database design, and agile development technique and processes
- Occasional travel is required
