IT Service Analyst Job in Cardiff CF103AT, Wales UK
A major professional services company in Cardiff urgently require and experienced IT Service Analyst.
The purpose of this role is the provision of support and assistance with IT to all company users and their clients. All work undertaken will be in line with the IT Service Centre processes and procedures.
There will be occasional travel to other offices as and when required and any other duties as requested by the Service Delivery Manager.
Key Duties:
- To be the first point of contact for the firm's users and clients with issues, training requests and requests for change.
- To provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support for the IT Service Catalogue where appropriate.
- To complete incidents, problems and tasks following agreed departmental procedures, policies and processes.
- To ensure issues are logged with the optimum amount of information and initial trouble shooting for the effective resolution or escalation of incidents.
- Provides an effective interface between users and 3rd party service providers, including documenting incidents, problems, progress checking and ensuring all diagnostic information is provided for problem resolution.
- Assists users to make more effective use of desktop systems, products and services, making initial diagnosis of problems and advising known solutions
- To demonstrate, install and upgrade Service Items.
Knowledge Skills:
- At least 12 months proven experience of working in an IT Helpdesk.
- Analytical thinking to diagnose and resolve problems and close attention to detail
- Customer focused with a close understanding of the needs of internal and external customers.
- Well developed written and spoken communication skills
- Knowledge and experience of supporting Microsoft Windows OS Systems and MS Office within a corporate environment
- Experience of managing user accounts within Microsoft Active Directory
- Building and configuring Desktops and Laptops
- Use of remote control technologies
- Experience of undertaking basic networking tasks such as patching.
- Installation and support of networked printers
