IT Service Desk Manager – Coutts IT recruitment

The first Coutts Co regional office to be opened was Eton in 1961. Today, Coutts Co has regional offices in 23 other locations around the UK.
We are looking for a strong candidate to deliver a reliable efficient IT service desk for all UK based Coutts Co / Adam Co systems users.
You will develop a comprehensive understanding of the business processes within Wealth and manage a team of Business Application Support Managers to provide first level user support, training and advice on banking applications especially Avaloq and AIMS.
You will also take responsibility for risk management ensuring that appropriate policies and procedures are followed for all technology responsibilities, as well as implementing effective controls over processes and that the reputation and financial robustness is protected.
From a people perspective you will undertake responsibility for planning, developing and implementing the necessary skill base for team, co-ordinating performance management activity.
Skills, Technical Knowledge Experience
Build a detailed knowledge of the Avaloq core banking platform including, but not limited to:
- Understanding of the Avaloq Object Model; Functional and Object security concept of Avaloq Avaloq processes
- Understanding of the Wealth application architecture including Avaloq interfaces to payment gateways, trading and other applications.
- Knowledge of Banking and Investment applications, including the respective support and escalation procedures.
- Knowledge of satellite applications supplied by RBS TS including the respective support and escalation procedures.
- Experience of working in a Service Delivery environment following ITIL process.
- Experience of working in a Service desk environment.
- Experience with Incident logging systems.
- Proven experience of operating in a technical/IT systems environment.
- Oracle and SQL know-how in order to write queries.
- Ability to work in an international team with non-native English speakers across different countries in Asia and Switzerland. .
