Job Summary:
The Service Integration Manager will provide support to project managers and their teams to help ensure the successful transition of projects and changes into Production. He/she will own, promote and communicate the Support Acceptance Process (SAP) which defines the processes and deliverables that the project team must produce throughout the project lifecycle to ensure smooth transition and ongoing support and maintenance of new and changed applications and infrastructure components. He/she will work with Project Managers and will practically assist them with the delivery of the SAP elements relevant to their project.
The Service Integration Manager will also work closely with the ‘Production ‘teams’ including Schroders’ outsource partner for Infrastructure, Architecture teams, Application Support, Production Control and Information Assurance. He/she will also provide support for global offices who would like to adopt the SAP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and own the Support Acceptance Process
- Engage with all project managers to advise and to ensure that all projects use the SAP process.
- Provide Application support/Infrastructure point of contact for projects to minimise confusion amongst the Project teams.
- Ensure Production processes and deliverables are produced by the Projects throughout the lifecycle and hence enable smooth transition into Production for all project deliverables
- Engage with the Production teams to ensure that they are engaged with the project at the right times
- Work in collaboration with the Infrastructure consultants to ensure that infrastructure deliverables align with project timescales and dates for support transition.
- Work with technical architects to ensure that architectures produced for projects conform to support expectations and can be fully supported upon delivery.
- Work closely with the technical leads to ensure BAU capacity requirements are met and that they tie in closely with future project deliveries.
- Pro-actively engage with Project Management groups in both the application and infrastructure space to ensure continual improvement to processes and future engagement.
Person Profile:
- Ability to translate technical and/or complicated process information into clear, concise documents appropriate for various target audiences (business, management, technical groups, etc.).
- Ability to develop positive working relationships and strong rapport with team members as well as senior leadership, and ability to influence decision making.
- Practical experience of working with ITIL processes and good understanding and experience of project delivery processes
- Flexibility and the ability to accommodate change
- High-level of personal initiative (high level of motivation/self-starter; ability work independently as well as collaborate in teams)
- Excellent planning, organisational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage customer perception through addressing issues and implementing solutions
Competencies:
- Strong self-organisation, time management and prioritisation skills
- Have a flexible approach to working hours as evening and escalated on-call work may be required over weekends.
