The Managed Services Group's Enterprise IT organization is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering the solutions needed to meet Microsoft's online services objectives. Solutions for managing the networks, security and compliance, supply chain management, and more are realized by the organization with a strong focus on delivering for the business units that depend on us. The successful candidate will have strong leadership capabilities to build and grow an organization of Senior and Principle IT SDEs who will in turn deliver on and oversee the work of additional vendors. He or she will also possess the technical depth to grow the technical skills of the team, participate in architectural and implementation design decisions, and develop solutions when required to meet the business's needs. Proven communication and cross group collaboration skills are required in order to successfully deliver against the business goals by partnering with peers, end users, and across organizations to coordinate efforts. Requirements: - 8+ years development experience in C#, C++, or Java - 3+ years of experience building and managing high-performance development teams - 3+ years of experience developing with and managing SQL Server 2005+ - 3+ years of working in an operations environment - Solid systems and service engineering knowledge - Experience defining and implementing development practices around source control and code reviews. - Strong mentor and coaching skills, driven to improve overall team capability - Exceptional problem solving and decision making skills - Strong cross-group skills, communication skills, teamwork skills - Proven strengths in technical excellence. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Experience with a variety of development methodologies such as: Waterfall, SCRUM, and other agile methodologies.
