Position Description:
Morgan Stanley Firmwide Sourcing (FWS) is looking for an IT sourcing professional for its IT Sourcing group that supports the IT software, hardware and support services for the Firm. Candidates should have a strong background in several of the following areas: infrastructure software, hardware, application software, or IT outsourcing.
Skills Required:
Responsibilities:
• Building relationships with internal clients in order to assess business requirements and find solutions meeting these needs.
• Managing supplier relationships in partnership with other stakeholders
• Business and legal negotiation
• Competitive bid processes including RFP's, RFI's, RFQ's and RFX
• Support of cost allocations and funding processes
• Reporting and Analysis of sourcing activities at the group, division and FWS levels
• Support of the vendor risk assessment process
• Process management and engineering for continuous improvement of the sourcing function
• Leveraging technology for the benefit of internal clients, IT Sourcing group, and FWS
• Strategic planning for sourcing services at the group, division and FWS levels
• Market research and benchmarking
• Represent Morgan Stanley FWS to industry and professional groups
Skills Required
• 5 years or more of sourcing experience and negotiation
• Strong business analytic skills
• Understanding of accounting
• Understanding of IT marketplace
• Experience in global banking
• Expert-level negotiation skills
• Experience in competitive bid process, vendor selection and vendor risk assessment
• Able to manage multiple projects/deals, group/division/FWS level priorities
• Internal client management and reporting
• Strong Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint skills
