IT Sourcing Manager, VP recruitment
BlackRock Sourcing and Vendor Management is looking for a Senior Information Technology Sourcing professional to support the life-cycle of IT hardware, software and associated project consulting considerations on behalf of the Firm. Candidates with experience and technical depth related to supporting Enterprise Storage investments (EMC, Hitachi, Network Appliance) are strongly encouraged to apply.
Principal duties include:
- Development of strategic sourcing opportunities through the introduction of a competitive marketplace, demand management, supplier consolidation, and process reengineering
- Management of competitive bid processes including RFP's, RFI's, RFQ's and RFx
- Support of internal cost allocation and funding processes
- Thorough reporting and analyses of sourcing activities at the group, departmental, and divisional levels
- Partner in the negotiation of associated legal agreements
- Conduct vendor risk assessments
- Leverage technology for the benefit of internal clients
- Strategic planning for sourcing services at the group, departmental and divisional levels
- Market research and benchmarking
- Represent BlackRock Global Procurement to industry and professional groups
Experience required:
- 10 years or more of IT sourcing experience
- 5 years or more of managing the IT sourcing function for a large global organization (preferably within the financial services or information technology verticals)
- Strong analytical and communications skills: the successful candidate must be able to elicit and analyze multiple proposals, create corresponding business cases (including financial reports), and present a clear and concise summaries of quantified options.
- Understanding of internal and vendor accounting
- Comprehensive understanding of the IT infrastructure marketplace
- Expert-level negotiation skills
- Experience in competitive bidding process, vendor selection and vendor risk assessment
- Ability to concurrently manage and prioritize multiple projects
- Insight into global and regional marketplaces with a focus on distributed computing (Windows and Unix)
- Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills (Oracle Financials, Ariba, SAP and SharePoint skills desired).
Education Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Computer Science (or other related degree programs in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or Mathematics)
