Role Purpose

• To provide first and second level technical and business related support for all business applications such as Avaloq, SAP, and OnDemand etc.

• To provide support and consulting work for projects related to Avaloq Banking System and other business applications.

• To perform parameterisation work on “Customisation” layer of the Avaloq Banking system (report development and orderbook development).

• To perform and coordinate User Acceptance Tests on new applications, patches and releases which includes Avaloq and SAP etc.

• To plan and coordinate change requests on Avaloq Banking System and other business applications.

• To provide basic training related to business applications for new joiners in Coutts Asia. (e.g. Avaloq Basic Training)

• To collaborate with Coutts Zurich Business Solutions team on Incident Management

Key Accountabilities

1. Application Support

• Assist the business in business application requirements and special projects as and when called for

• Provide first and second level support for business applications, including Avaloq SAP etc.

• Escalate issues that cannot be resolved internally in Asia to Zurich IT, Group or external service providers.

• Coordinate UAT with related users when new patches or maintenance releases are implemented in the Avaloq testing environment.

• Perform testing for changes related to other applications. (e.g. Intranet, OnDemand, SAP, xkyte).

• Comply with standards and guidelines (e.g. security standards, change management policies) set in Zurich/RBS Group.

2. Application Development

• Perform parameterisation work on “Customisation” layer of the Avaloq Banking System. (E.g. Order Book, Report Writer User Access Security etc.)

• Define functional specifications, develop (or provide inputs in selection of packages, vendors, etc), implement and maintain local applications

• Assist Change Management team, Business and Operations Teams on projects and initiatives, acting as IT consultant or participating as liaison or project team member

• Adopt the same governance process in Zurich IT when performing parameterisation works on Avaloq Banking System.

3. Training role

• Provide basic application training for business users and 1st level support staff (Asia Service Desk).

• Ad hoc and individualized training for new users on Avaloq or other applications

Professional Qualifications Requirements

• IT or Computing Degree

Other Technical Skills, Knowledge or Experience

• Preferably 5 years or more working in the Banking finance industries

• Knowledge of Avaloq Core Banking System

• Basic SAP knowledge preferred

• Basic Excel Macro and Visual Basic knowledge preferred

• Support Microsoft desktop platform

• Preferably 5 years or more of Application support/Business Analysis experience

• Preferably 3 or more years of application development experience.

• Basic Project management skills e.g. project team member, project timeline

• Good knowledge of business and IT processes (e.g. ITIL)

• Technical expertise and experience in application development and management e.g. Avaloq Professional Certification

• Good understanding of a variety of technologies and platforms, database concepts, application development processes

• Dynamic and independent

• Hands-on individual with a keen eye for details
