My client has a terrific opportunity for Strategy and Enterprise Architects to join their specialist financial strategy division. IT Strategy consultants help financial services organisations derive strategic value from IT through optimal alignment of their business goals and IT solutions. The Strategy engagements typically deal with C-suite level issues and have a direct impact on the client's revenue and profitability. My client are looking for IT professionals who have hands-on IT strategy architecture experience gained in financial services environments, including investment banking, retail banking, insurance, wealth management and/or alternative investment/buy-side organisations.
Individuals should have experience of working at senior management (Board) level, delivering strategic IT solutions to business problems.
You will be advising financial services clients on all aspects of IT Strategy Enterprise Architecture. At present we are looking to grow our team of Enterprise Architects. Specifically, we are looking for the skills and experiences outlined below: -
Enterprise Architecture o Aligning the business vision to IT goals/objectives
o Developing end-to-end enterprise architectures to support IT Strategy for financial institutions, including functional architecture, process architecture, systems architecture, data architecture, integration architecture and infrastructure architecture
o Performing systems/infrastructure capability assessments to identify areas of improvement
o Performing an architecture governance role on large scale projects/programmes
o Developing multi-year roadmaps and plans to deliver the target state architecture - Strategic IT sourcing and procurement
- Financial services experience in one or more of the following areas:
o Capital Markets/Investment Banking
o Wealth Management, Retail Banking
o Insurance
Additional competencies
- Experience of best practice frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachmann and CoBIT
- Excellent communication skills; (verbal and written) able to communicate complex ideas to all
areas of the business - client side and internally
- Innovative approach to solving complex issues and problems
- Ability to develop high quality project deliverables
Qualifications:
- Minimum BA/BSc or equivalent (preferably in Economics, Business, Engineering or Sciences)
