IT Support Analyst – Investment Banking – London recruitment

I am representing an excellent opportunity for an IT Systems Support Analyst within the Finance IT Team in a successful Investment Bank based in London. My client is looking for someone with experience of supporting the Back-office, Finance (GL, AP), reporting applications.

Role Summary

• The successful candidate will be supporting Midas Plus, Microsoft NAV 2009, FRSGlobal Regpro/SECAM, Business Intelligence (BI) and an ‘in house’ Data Warehouse

• The role is based within the London IT Department (Finance and Cross-business IT team)

• The purpose of the role is to ensure the continued smooth running of the application services within the Finance and Cross-business IT team’s remit, involving 1st, 2nd and 3rd line technical support

• As part of the team and individually the job holder will be carrying out the investigation, analysis, development, testing required to resolve incidents and implement new functionality

• Implement code or technical configuration changes while strictly adhering to change control procedures (including emergency out of hours ‘hot fixes’)

• The role will be dealing with end users, third party vendors, different IT silos, IT infrastructure, IT operations, internal/external audit requests and adherence to change control processes

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience.

• Skilled in either of the following:

a)SQL (2005 onwards), Data warehousing skills, SSIS, SSAS, dimensional modelling, ETL, T-SQL

OR

b)IBM iSeries hardware operating system including CL, RPG, SQL, QUERY, MQ Series and FTP.

• Experience in either of the following:

a)SQL (2005 onwards) Finance/core banking GL reporting applications – ideally one or more of Data Warehouse, BI Technologies (SAP BO, Microsoft BI, or similar), Microsoft Dynamics NAV and FRSGlobal RegPro

OR

b)Midas Plus and MMM.

• Good knowledge of end of day procedures and downstream data flows of IB products

• Experience supporting production ‘end of day’ procedures and making judgements on deploying ‘work around’/hot fix solutions

• Basic understanding of GL, chart of accounts and Finance reporting (regulatory and MI)

• Professional level of Incident management, defect tracking and Change management

• Knowledge of Information security standards and applications security controls

• Experience in on-boarding new IT applications from IT support perspective

• Knowledge of Disaster recovery procedures and supporting technically BCP testing

• Familiarity with common performance issues arising of large volumes of data in IT applications
