The Company
IT Support Analyst, Hedge fund - West End London
Robert Half Technology is seeking a rounded IT Support Analyst to join a leading European hedge fund in the West End of London. With the business expanding the fund is seeking a high-calibre IT Support Analyst to provide 1st and 2nd line desktop and applications support.
The Role
- The primary function of the IT Support Analyst is to provide 1st- 2nd desktop support as well trader support for market data, comms/VOIP, Blackberries etc.
- The IT Support Analyst will also provide an element of server systems administration.
- The IT Support Analyst will also be expected to provide applications support for bespoke in-house trading middle office systems - although prior experience of this is not required.
- Apart from day-to-day support there will be involvement in a range of projects such as upgrades and new infrastructure initiatives.

Essential skills required:
- Smart, degree educated (or similar) in a relevant subject
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating systems software
- Exposure to Windows Server administration
- Substantial prior experience in a similar role gained within a hedge fund, investment bank, financial markets company with similar infrastructure or with a 3rd party supplier servicing SME financial markets companies.
- Flexible approach to working hours (cover 8.00-19.00) as may be required to support US and Asia markets
- Desire to provide / previous experience in providing applications support
Desirable skills:
- Market data / trade floor support
- VoIP/ IPT experience
Salary Benefits
£50-55,000 + bonus + benefits
