IT Support Analyst Job in Markham, Ontario Canada
Currently a 6 month contract position, the IT Support Analyst position fully supports the IT Manager in the day to day operations of the IT department. Depending on the work load, the direction of the company and the abilities of the candidate, this position has the potential to become full time permanent.
Responsibilities:
- Perform information technology field support for all applicable AIM Health Group sites, providing problem solving and documentation of all technical issues.
- Support and maintain the daily operations for all IT systems including network and telephony infrastructure, office automation software applications, legacy applications, server/desktop hardware, printers and other equipment as needed.
- Perform root cause analysis of technical issues related to IT hardware/software seeing them through to resolution; provide on-site technical support as required and coordinate with third party vendors/service providers where necessary.
- Build desktop, laptop and server systems.
- Monitor maintain the security of the technology environment.
- Monitor maintain data back-ups.
- Maintain accurate hardware software inventory.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a recognized post-secondary information technology program/institution or related field;
- Three years' experience in the maintenance and operations of LAN/WAN, telephony systems, and networked, enterprise and stand-alone computer systems with at least 2 years previous experience providing customer support in an operations environment.
- Experience in a computer services/support role in a regulated environment.
- Strong communication skills in English are essential.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills as well as strong attention to detail are required.
- Ability to plan, manage tasks and take direction.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Exchange server 2007
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems 2003 2008.
- Excellent knowledge of Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) and Blackberry smartphones.
- Excellent knowledge of Back-up Exec ver 12.
- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL server 2005.
- Familiarity with Nortel phone systems (BCM)
- Frequent travel to/from clinics corporate offices (within Ontario) is required. Must provide own transportation
Nice to have:
Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics (Great Plains) ver 10.
MCSA / MCSE preferred
