IT Support Analyst

3 Month rolling Contract

Our client a leading IT Telecoms Company have a requirement for a IT Support Analyst based in Surrey to ensure all IT platforms within your area of responsibility are maintained to the highest level, thereby enabling the smooth running of the business. You must regularly check backups have taken place and prove that they have been successful.

This is both a Service Desk and Customer Facing role

Duties:

Deliver effective diagnosis of first line IT support issues, and resolve or escalate accordingly to pre-defined SLA's.
Conduct regular backup and restore checks and other preventative maintenance.
Assist in maintaining the server and network infrastructure and associated documentation.
Provide remote support and cover for other divisions as and when the situation dictates

Requirements:

Experience in using Active Directory for
Creation of User accounts and Mailboxes
Setting up Printers
Experience of Exchange 2003, 2007. Some knowledge in 2010 would be advantageous
Sound knowledge of networking and TCP/IP
Experience using VPN's, routers and switches is desirable
Experience of working in an IT support environment including remote user support
Any IT related qualification such as MCP/ MCDST or relevant experience is essential,
A Degree level qualification would be advantageous
Blackberry PDA Support experience will also be beneficial for this role
