IT Support Analyst – Top 5 Hedge Fund – £50-60k + Strong Bonus – Urgent! recruitment

The position will cover a broad range of technical skills/ projects offering a challenging and rewarding environment alongside some of the industries most talented people.

Tech skills – Microsoft Windows Architecture Desktop/Server, VMWare (very important) LAN WAN Networking, Cisco, Voice over IP, Market Data Reuters / Bloomberg, Firewall / Security

Responsibilities-

• Provide generalist helpdesk support  (Team of 4)to all areas of the business particularly within network systems administration (LAN WAN)

• Responsible for desktop support and providing generalist technology infrastructure support to the business in a quick and efficient manner to mitigate disruption to business flow

• Provide network support activities as well as installation and on-going administration of operating systems and support services, meeting specific business and user needs

• Troubleshooting hardware and software problems

• Responding to queries from end users, including desktop support

• To support the business and its infrastructure (all production, development, test and DR environments)

• To action incident calls, problem calls and change management requests

• To provide systems administration of the following:

• servers, desktops and printers

• production and market data applications

• LAN WAN

• E-mail and messaging systems including, including blackberry enterprise server

• Anti-virus and security applications

• Internet access and firewalls

• Data storage, backups and restores

• Replication and support applications

• Communications infrastructure

• Manage IT projects as required in the above areas and any new systems as deemed necessary by the business

• To investigate, recommend and implement best practices for the infrastructure (hardware, software and comms) where possible

• To create and maintain documentation for the infrastructure systems (hardware, software and comms)

• Manage third party vendors and suppliers as per active support agreements and to escalate where necessary to provide effective support to the business

• To participate in and manage the Business Continuity and Disaster Recover tests annually

• Assist in the support of other Global offices from an infrastructure perspective
